Turnkey Projects

A turnkey project is a comprehensive project delivery method where a contractor is responsible for designing, supplying, constructing, testing, and commissioning a facility, system, or plant. The term “turnkey” means the client simply has to “turn the key” and start operations—everything else is already complete.

Supply

Supply refers to the procurement and delivery of equipment, materials, and components to the project site or client location. It is strictly about providing the materials needed for a project or system.

Scope Includes:

Does not include installation, commissioning, or system integration.

Erection

Erection refers to the assembly and structural setup of equipment or systems at the site. This involves handling, positioning, and anchoring heavy or structural components.

Scope Includes:

Typical for:

Large equipment like pressure vessels, tanks, electrical panels, HVAC ducts, pipe racks, and support structures.

Installation

Installation is the process of connecting and configuring supplied equipment or systems to make them ready for use. It often overlaps with erection but focuses more on functional connections.

Scope Includes:

UPS4E series

IPRC Intro

ISRO PROPULSION COMPLEX (IPRC), formerly known as Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, Mahendragiri (LPSC-M), is located near Kanniyakumari at Mahendragiri Hills, Tirunelveli District, Tamil Nadu. It is the major testing hub of ISRO’s liquid propulsion systems. The role of IPRC is to carry out research for the development of liquid propulsion systems both for satellites and satellite launch vehicles. IPRC is equipped with state-of-art facilities for the assembly, integration and testing of liquid propulsion systems. It is responsible for the development, qualification and acceptance testing of sub-systems and systems for launch vehicles and spacecraft projects / program.

A brief of MIPL complete turnkey solutions for IPRC is given here

High Accuracy Absolute Pressure Sensors

These sensors are designed to measure absolute pressure (referenced to a perfect vacuum) with exceptional precision, stability, and repeatability. They typically use capacitive, piezoelectric, or resonant technologies for reliable readings.

Explosion Proof Junction Boxes

Enclosures designed to contain any explosion originating within and prevent it from igniting the surrounding atmosphere. They are typically rated for hazardous zones (Zone 1, Zone 2, etc.).

Heavy Duty Connectors

Rugged electrical connectors designed to withstand mechanical stress, high currents, and frequent mating cycles. They are often modular, sealed, and resistant to dust, moisture, and vibration.

SMPS & Diode ORing Modules

Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) convert AC power to regulated DC efficiently. Diode ORing modules allow automatic switching between two or more power sources to ensure redundancy.

Cable Glands

Mechanical fittings that secure and seal electrical cables entering an enclosure. They also provide strain relief and maintain the IP or explosion-proof rating of the panel.

TIB / Zener Barriers

Zener barriers and Termination Interface Barriers (TIB) are passive devices that limit energy to a safe level, preventing ignition in hazardous areas by maintaining intrinsic safety.

Smart Valve Positioner

A digital device that ensures precise positioning of a valve based on a control signal. It includes feedback and diagnostic functions for real-time monitoring.

PTFE Cables

Cables insulated with PTFE (Teflon), known for high thermal stability, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation properties.

Dry Block Calibrator for Thermocouples

A solid-state calibrator that heats a metal block to a precise temperature to allow accurate calibration of thermocouples or RTDs without using liquid baths.

Blanking Plugs

Mechanical plugs used to close off unused cable entry holes in junction boxes or enclosures, maintaining environmental or explosion-proof ratings.
